Creative Flash Banner Ad Designer (Freelancer)

We're looking for an extremely creative banner ad designer. Not just a Flash code monkey, but someone that can create a concept within the guidelines of a large array of our client company brands to quickly communicate their brand concept to end-users through Flash. You need to have experience executing your creative ideas within banner ad specs (typically under 40k) and be able to recreate your idea across many different banner ad sizes. In short, you should be capable of the following:

  1. Excellent at coming up with truly creative concepts
  2. Talented at graphically representing those concepts
  3. Strong experience in Flash animation that is focused on grabbing end-users' attention
  4. Able to execute everything to banner ad specs

Hardware & Software Requirements

Apple-based hardware and software, your own copies of Flash and likely Photoshop and Illustrator.

Graphic & Web Design Freelancer

On the Creative end, we're focused on design and usability and are looking for talented designers who have great pride in their craft. You would need to be able to design extremely functional sites that are elegant, clear, clean and visually stunning. You need a good understanding of typography, color and imagery. We're looking for creative thinkers, not just pixel pushers. You don't need to know a single line of code, you won't be doing any programming, but you should have an excellent understanding of how to design for the web. Our dev team is extremely talented and visually focused to ensure that we have fewer technological limits on the design side. You should be able to take design direction. We want to see people whose hearts and minds are engaged with their designs.

Hardware & Software Requirements

Apple-based hardware and software, your own copies of software (typically Photoshop, Illustrator).

We don't care where you went to school, or what awards or certificates you have. We just want to see some examples of awesome work. Please send links, PDFs, JPGs, or animated gifs (just kidding) to designjobs at slimkiwi.

Interactive/Creative/Flash Developer (Freelancer)

We're looking for a fine hybrid of a person who can write extremely efficient AS2 or AS3, but also someone who has a sense of style and real understanding of Flash animation (tween classes, etc). You will be responsible for executing designs built in Photoshop, so you should be able to know how to optimize graphics from Photoshop or Illustrator and bring them into Flash. Our Flash-related jobs range from home page marketing animations to complete backend-driven Flash online applications. Even for the small stuff, we want someone who challenges themselves enough to make the ordinary extraordinary. You must have a good sense of timing in animation and understanding of how and where Flash can benefit the end user experience, but also how Flash can create static and interfere with key messaging. We use Flash sparingly, only when it can enhance the end-user experience. We're not looking for exploding fireball navigation, but very clean and clear execution.

Hardware & Software Requirements

Apple-based hardware and software, your own copies of software (typically Photoshop, Illustrator).
