Fidelity Investments asked if I could help them think about what a mobile strategy should look like for their asset managers, who manage over $1.7 trillion. What started out as some quick proof of concepts that replicate basic desktop functionality quickly grew into mobile as the go-to platform that introduces technology solutions for the pain points of portfolio managers, analysts and the executive team. These mobile products are featured on FCAT’S Fidelity Wall of Fame, were described by Bruce Herring, Chief Investment Officer, as "giving portfolio managers new tools and new capabilities in ways that we had never envisioned," have been showcased by Asset Management’s President, Charlie Morrison, at Abby Johnson’s annual fireside chat, and are used to make tens of billions of dollars in trades monthly.
